NFL analyst Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report mentioned the Browns as a potential landing spot for Parham. Parham could be seen as a bargain free agent for Cleveland, giving this team an extra boost on offense.
In his last season with the Chargers, Parham played in 14 games (starting eight), catching 27 passes for 285 yards and four touchdowns. Parham isn't generally seen as a starting-caliber tight end, but he is more than capable of being productive on the field.
Giving either Watson or Sanders another weapon to throw the ball to can be a good thing. Parham is a big body on the field, standing at 6-foot-8, which could create matchup problems for opponents.
Due to the long absence of Parham from the NFL, this could be a risk for the Browns. But given that he wouldn't be playing a large role until he proves himself, Cleveland may be willing to take the gamble to bring in a talented player.
If Parham works out, great for the Browns, and they add a player who could be a steal after a long injury recovery. And if he doesn't, the team could easily cut ties with him, moving forward with the signing as a lesson learned.
