The Cleveland Browns have to find a way for the running game to get going this season.

The Cleveland Browns have been one of the bigger surprises from the 2026 NFL season so far, with the team sitting with a record of 3-2.

While the Browns did lose last week, the game was competitive in a sloppy, wet environment. Cleveland has looked much better this season, giving thought to a potential playoff run.

Quarterback Deshaun Watson has done just enough for this team to be placed in a position to win each week, which isn't something that most people believed entering the year. But Watson has overcome a lot of criticism this season, proving that he should indeed be the Browns' starter, at least for now.

Despite the success that the Browns have seen this year, the running game has been one of the weak points of the team. Cleveland hasn't been able to generate anything of note on the ground, and it's hurt the team at times.

The Browns were expecting a lot from running back Quinshon Judkins this season, but he's been held in check. So, with the trade deadline slowly approaching, the Cleveland front office could elect to make some moves to bolster the unit.

One name that could make sense for the Browns to consider going after is veteran running back Tony Pollard of the Tennessee Titans. Tennessee is going nowhere this season, and this could see the front office look to make some moves at the upcoming trade deadline.

NFL analyst Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report listed the Browns as a possible landing spot for Pollard if he is indeed traded this year. Cleveland could use another running back to help generate more offense, while the Titans could look to get some additional draft capital for the future.

Knox sees Pollard's trade value as being a conditional fifth-round draft pick, and this would be more than worth it to land the running back. Pollard is a former Pro-Bowl back, and he could help change this Browns offense for the better.

On the season, Pollard has rushed for 273 yards and one touchdown behind one of the worst offensive lines in the league. Through the air, Pollard has caught eight passes for 24 yards, helping out in the passing game.

Pollard could give Watson another weapon to use, and he has the speed to really get this attack going. If anything, Cleveland could add more depth, which can never be a bad thing over a long NFL season.
