Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy spoke out confidently about the upcoming 2026 NFL season.
Just two short years ago, the Cleveland Browns looked like they might have found a long-term No. 1 wide receiver. Jerry Jeudy put on a show during his first year with the franchise.
In that 2024 NFL season, Jeudy played in all 17 regular season games. He racked up 90 receptions for 1,229 yards and four touchdowns, despite the Browns having an inconsistent quarterback situation. Last year was a different story.
Jeudy struggled throughout the 2025 season. He only caught 50 passes for 602 yards and two touchdowns in 17 games.
During the 2026 NFL Draft, Cleveland made a clear investment in the wide receiver position. Andrew Berry selected Texas A&M standout K.C. Concepcion in the first round and doubled down with Denzel Boston out of Washington in the second round.
Even though the struggles were obvious for Jeudy last season, he remains confident about his ability to bounce back stronger.
"I'm very confident," Jeudy said. "I'm going to always be confident by the amount of work I just put in throughout the offseason. I'm just waiting for it to transition to on the field."
Berry also spoke out during the NFL Draft about his confidence in Jeudy's ability to play a big role for the offense in 2026.
"We have a lot of confidence in Jerry," Berry said. "For a guy to produce how he did at 25 years old, break the records and play to his ability, we think that if we can make our offense a bit more operational, we expect him to bounce back."
Travis Switzer, the team's new offensive coordinator, seems very excited to work with Jeudy this season. His comments will help ease the minds of concerned fans.
"Jerry's been great," Switzer said. "You can see his quick twitch, his ability to separate. I think it's something that we can utilize. And I mean, as far as a skill player's production, there's so many different variables that go into that. We weren't here last year anyway, so we're not putting too much weight behind that."
Now entering his seventh NFL season, it's time for Jeudy to show what he's really capable of being for the Browns. If he can return to the form that he showed in 2024, the Cleveland offense could be dangerous.
On the other hand, another year of struggles like he had last season could force the Browns to part ways with him. It's truly a make-or-break year for Jeudy in Cleveland.
