Are the Cleveland Browns about to trade Jerry Jeudy?

The Cleveland Browns drafted KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston in this year's draft, two wide receivers.

Does that mean Jerry Jeudy is about to get traded?

According to GM Andrew Berry, no.

“He’s our bell cow,” Berry said in his wrap-up of Day 2 of the NFL Draft. “With receiver rooms, you can have maybe a ball dominant player or you can essentially build a basketball team with different skill sets. We prefer the second approach. Now don’t get me wrong. I’ll take Calvin Johnson if he’s out there, but we feel like we have a nice well-rounded room with speed, (yards after catch), contested-catch ability, separation. So we’re really pleased with the youth and talent in that group.”

Jeudy, who made the Pro Bowl in 2024, put up 50 catches for 602 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns last season. He never got on the same page with Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel or Shedeur Sanders.

Jeudy has played for the Denver Broncos and Browns. He enters next season with 4,884 receiving yards and 17 receiving touchdowns.

“Well, I just think you have to keep adding to the room as best you can,” new Browns head coach Todd Monken said. “You’re trying to raise the floor. I mean, ultimately in any position group, you start by raising the floor and developing who you have. And that started this past week.

“(Boston) is a different body type than what we have. We were looking at someone we thought could be a size matchup and especially in the red zone, which we did not have. So loved his competitive spirit. Just talking about Denzel now. Spoke with Jedd Fisch, his head coach at Washington, who I’ve got a ton of respect for, been in the NFL and raved about Denzel, loves to practice, competitive, a lot of fight in him. He’s come a long way as a player and is only going to continue to get better. And we certainly needed to just continue to upgrade that position, and we did.”

We'll see who Concepcion, Boston and Jeudy are catching passes from next season. Most people believe the Browns will start Deshaun Watson or Sanders.
