Cleveland Browns star Shedeur Sanders shared a powerful message on social media.
Cleveland Browns QB Shedeur Sanders posted a strong message on social media, seemingly stating that he doesn't care about people's opinions of him.
"Think about a person's opinion… in the grand scheme of life, it means nothing," the quote read. "We often give opinions power when we react to them and make them seem valuable. Why expect anything different from a modern culture that doesn't keep GOD at the forefront of daily actions? Those who move through life with foul intentions will eventually face the consequences of their ways. The people who truly align with you will understand this perspective. In the end, as long as you're walking in your purpose, GOD should be the only one you seek to please."
Sanders finished his rookie season with 1,400 passing yards, seven passing touchdowns, 10 interceptions, 169 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown. He went 3-4 as a starter.
Sanders was named to the Pro Bowl in 2025 as a replacement selection. He's one of the most popular players in the NFL because of who his dad is.
Sanders, Deshaun Watson and Dillon Gabriel will compete for the Browns' starting QB spot next season. Most people who cover the NFL believe Sanders or Watson will win the job.
"Well, this is the most important thing I have to do in my life," Shedeur said at Browns' voluntary minicamp. I have a house here. I'm comfortable and I wanted to take everything to the next level within myself. I know with some things that I wanted to improve and I took a lot of time to self-reflect and just do a lot of things just from a different perspective, honestly. And I think I covered a lot of ground with that."
Cleveland went 5-12 last season. Todd Monken replaces Kevin Stefanski, who was fired and joined the Atlanta Falcons as their new HC.
According to Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot, Watson is the front-runner for the starting spot. However, if Sanders plays well in training camp and in the preseason, he could overtake Watson.
