The Cleveland Browns went 5-12 this season.

The Cleveland Browns had a tough 2025 season. They went 5-12 and missed the playoffs again.

Kevin Stefanski was fired as head coach after the season. He's now with the Atlanta Falcons.

Meanwhile, the Browns hired Todd Monken, who was Cleveland's offensive coordinator in 2019.

There was more bad than good for the Browns in 2025, which is why NFL analyst Brad Gagnon of Bleacher Report gave the team a final grade of C. Gagnon, though, thinks five wins wasn't "too bad" considering the team started three QBs.

"They entered the season with a mess at quarterback, a lack of support for their superstar edge rusher and the worst Super Bowl odds in the NFL. Five wins ain't too bad under those circumstances. They still don't have a clear answer at quarterback and now have a head-coaching vacancy, but this isn't a total write-off considering the talent on defense."

Myles Garrett broke the sack record this season. That was pretty much the only thing that happened for the Browns.

Sure, Shedeur Sanders showed some flashes of being a starting QB, but we should pump the brakes on him being a star. After all, Sanders threw 10 interceptions and seven touchdowns and completed only 56.6% of his passes.

Moving forward, all eyes are on Garrett to see if he requests a trade or stays with the Browns. Cleveland has the sixth overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Its needs are QB, OL, WR, CB and LB.

While in Cleveland in 2019, Monken led a Browns' offense that featured RB Nick Chubb, who produced the league's second-most rushing yards at 1,494 and recorded eight touchdowns. QB Baker Mayfield also threw a then single-season career-high 3,827 passing yards — adding 22 touchdowns — while WRs Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr. each recorded a 1,000-yard season.

It will be intriguing to see how many wins the Browns get next season with Monken leading the way.
