All three Cleveland Browns QBs pushed the ball downfield, and all three QBs were intercepted. Everything that unfolded on Day 9 of Training Camp

Installs are over, and the offense opened up quite a bit in Day 9 of Cleveland Browns training camp, but the quarterback's ups and downs continued.

Keep tabs on each day of training camp with our daily recaps from Berea.

Day 9 Takeaways

Quarterbacks

Day 9 saw Deshaun Watson back with the first-team offense and, for the second time in three days, delivered one of his best days of practice in general. In the second round of 11-on-11s, he completed 2-of-3 passes, including and out route to Jerry Jeudy and a highlight reel worthy throw down the sideline to Isaiah Bond, that was arguably his best throw of camp.

He also finished practice with an impressive under-two-minute, down-four drive that concluded with him scrambling to his left to elude some pressure and firing a dart to Bond for a game-winning touchdown. He also had a strong 7-on-7 session.

It wasn't all good for Watson. At one point, there was a miscommunication with Quinshon Judkins regarding where he was lined up or supposed to shift to. He also threw his eighth pick of camp when he overthrew Bond over the middle of the field and Denzel Ward was there to pick it off.

Shedeur Sanders also threw a pick on an overthrow during 11-on-11s, looking toward Jack Stoll in the middle of the field, but sailed it into rookie Emmanuel McNeil-Warren's hands instead.

He made amends two plays later, launching a deep ball to Gage Larvadain on a vertical two plays later. Larvadain was in tight coverage but made the catch anyway for Sanders' most impressive play of the day.

Without question, Sanders has had more good days than bad, but Friday overall wasn't his best day. By no fault of his own, his promising two-minute drive to end practice stalled out due to a fumble by Raheim Sanders.

Dillon Gabriel also joined the pick party on his very first throw of the day, looking to make a play to Kole Wilson on a go ball. His work continued to come with the twos and threes, but he only took reps in one series of 11-on-11s and one series of 7-on-7s.

O-Line Roulette

Some notable names were still not involved in team drills or were out altogether. The first group was the same as Thursday only with Dawand Jones back at left tackle as his rotation with Spencer Fano continues.

Tytus Howard at RT, KT Leveston at RG, Luke Wypler at C, Zion Johnson at LG and Jones at LT

The first iteration of the second unit that took the field together consisted of:

Austin Barber at RT, Jeremiah Byers at RG, Kingsley Eguakum at C, Jack Conley at LG and Fano at LT

Airing It Out

Monken has emphasized on numerous occasions that the first eight days were installs and it would be hard to decipher much of anything from those days as far as the quarterbacks were concerned.

Well, Day 9 certainly looked different as it was the first day the offense started pushing the ball down the field more. There were a lot more go balls and deep shots taken on Friday than on any day of practice to this point.

Injuries and Absences

DT Maliek Collins remains on the PUP list but has at least been visible at practice the last few days. TE Joe Royer is still away from the team.

Much of the lengthy group that has been sidelined with injuries remained on Friday, however a few notable players were back at practice. That shorter list of names included DT Mason Graham, who was a full go, as well as C Elgton Jenkins and G Teven Jenkins who participated in individual drills only.

Players not practicing included: LB Carson Schwesinger, CB Damarri Mathis, CB Myles Bryant, FB Michael Burton, DT Kalia Davis, DT Mike Hall Jr., DT Sam Kamara, T Elijah Chatman, T Izavion Miller, G Zak Zinter and C Parker Brailsford.

Prior to practice, C Kendrick Green was placed on the IR, while WR Jamari Thrash was waived with an injury designation.

Play of the Day

Between the three interceptions and a few nice deep shots on Friday, there were a lot of directions to go with this, but Winston Reid's forced fumble and recovery on Raheim Sanders takes the prize.

The play was essentially a walk-off moment for practice, as Sanders was trying to lead an end-of-game TD drive but watched it stall out thanks to Reid's great play. Reid's had a few other moments this week, so it was about time he earned a shoutout on here.

Player of the Day

A really strong spring from Isaiah Bond hadn't carried over to camp quite yet, but that changed on Friday. Bond was on the receiving end of four different pass attempts and hauled in three. Two of them were easily some of the plays of camp.

First, Watson hit him on a go ball down the left sideline in the second round of 11-on-11s with one of the throws of camp. Then in the two-minute offense situation to close practice, Bond brought in an impressive catch in the back of the end zone on a scramble-drill-style play from Watson.

It was easily Bond's best day of practice at camp.

Quote of the Day

After a strong practice on Thursday for the Browns run game, Monken had a chance to gush about running back Quinshon Judkins on Friday and took full advantage.

"But Quinshon's just a bull. He's a bull, man. He's a downhill, powerful man. And it's fun to watch. He is hard to bring down and he's got something inside of him that from a competitive standpoint, that's fun to watch."

What's Next?

Saturday will be Day 10 of practice and is scheduled to be open to the public, however there may be inclement weather in the forecast, which could bring the session inside. Gates open around 12:30 pm, practice will start around 1:30 pm.
