Could the Browns Pair Nick Saban and Arch Manning Together in 2027?

The Cleveland Browns are coming off a Week 1 blowout loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The loss shows that the young Browns roster still has plenty of room for improvement and likely won't be competitive this year. Fans and analysts are already looking ahead to next offseason and how Cleveland can add talent to the roster.

"I have to say this because I've heard a lot of rumors, but I heard Jimmy is not done going after Nick Saban," ESPN Cleveland's Tony Rizzo said. "Now Nick wouldn't coach but he would have some kind of role. And to combine him with Arch Manning."

This would be two major changes for the Browns if it were to happen, as they'd bring in one of the most accomplished college coaches ever, Nick Saban, in some capacity, while adding one of the best quarterbacks in the 2027 NFL Draft, Arch Manning.

An offseason like that would give Cleveland a ton of hope for the future and give them the chance to emerge as one of the best young teams in the NFL.

Manning is a contender to be the number one overall pick in the upcoming draft and is off to a good start with the Texas Longhorns in 2026. He has completed 67.2 percent of his passes for 500 yards, five touchdowns, and two interceptions. Manning has added 30 yards on the ground on 11 carries.

He has improved since the 2025 season, when he completed 61.4 percent of his passes for 3,163 yards, 26 touchdowns, and seven interceptions while rushing for 399 yards and 10 touchdowns on 92 attempts.

The Browns are still searching for their franchise quarterback, as Deshaun Watson struggled as the starter in Week 1, and Shedeur Sanders hasn't seen game action in 2026 thus far.

Manning has a ton of potential and could be a wise pick for Cleveland if they are in a position to draft him.

Although it's only a rumor, it would be very exciting for the future of Browns football if they are able to team up Saban and Manning in some capacity next season.
