Could the Cleveland Browns trade WR Jerry Jeudy?
The Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers have been named potential trade suitors for Cleveland Browns WR Jerry Jeudy by NFL analyst Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report.
Knox believes Jeudy's projected trade value is a conditional 2027 fifth-round pick.
Jeudy has just two catches through three games for 26 yards. The Browns should view Jeudy as expendable and he should retain value for receiver-needy teams.
While he has largely disappointed since the start of last season, the 27-year-old Jeudy was a 1,200-yard Pro Bowl receiver in 2024.
With a 2026 base salary of $1.5 million, Jeudy should fit even the tightest cap budgets.
Jeudy has played for the Denver Broncos and Browns. He has 353 career receptions for 4,910 yards and 17 touchdowns.
The Browns are 2-1 in Year 1 of the Todd Monken era. After losing to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 1, Cleveland beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2 and the Carolina Panthers in Week 3.
Deshaun Watson threw an interception in Week 1 against the Jaguars. He hasn't thrown one since. The former Houston Texans star went 16/30 through the air for 144 passing yards and two touchdowns against the Panthers.
It wasn't pretty, but Watson did what he was supposed to do by leading Cleveland to a win in its home opener. Bleacher Report gave Watson a C+ for his performance against Carolina.
Watson didn't perform as well as a passer as he did in his Week 2 outing. In fact, he completed 53.3 percent of his attempts.
However, his ability to extend the play and find open receivers when it mattered helped lift the Browns to their first 2-1 start in three years.
Watson has 587 passing yards and five passing touchdowns through three games. He has one interception and is completing 68.3% of his passes. The three-time Pro Bowler missed the entire 2025 season recovering from the Achilles tendon tear he suffered in 2024.
The Browns face the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4 on Thursday Night Football. Both teams are 2-1.
Cleveland is averaging 18.0 points per game and giving up 23.7 points per game thus far. To upset Pittsburgh, the Browns' offense will need to muster more than 18 points.
Watson can breathe easier this week. Back-to-back victories will certainly alleviate pressure on the Browns to replace their current starting quarterback.
Furthermore, the team's fanbase didn't turn on its QB1, as Watson didn't get booed in Week 3 at home. He was booed in the preseason.
For two weeks in a row, things went well for Watson and the Browns and we haven't been able to say that in a long, long time.
It will be fascinating to see if the Browns can beat the Steelers for their third win in a row. Watson enters Week 4 with 3,952 passing yards and 24 passing touchdowns in a Browns uniform. His record is 11-11 and he's thrown 13 interceptions in 22 games.
Can Cleveland shock the NFL world and make the playoffs this season? Only time will tell, but one thing is clear: Monken has turned the culture around already.
That's a great sign for the Browns' future.
