Cleveland Browns undrafted free agent Davon Booth spoke to Roundtable about his first NFL chapter.
The Cleveland Browns moved quickly following the 2026 NFL Draft to sign former Mississippi State running back Davon Booth.
Booth, who went undrafted, signed a deal with the Browns and will compete for a roster spot in training camp and preseason action. His college career gives Cleveland hope that it might have found a diamond in the rough.
Last season with the Bulldogs, Booth carried the football 136 times for 553 yards and seven touchdowns. Back in 2024, he racked up 759 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 152 carries.
He has also shown signs of dual-threat ability, catching 15 passes for 165 yards and two touchdowns in 2025, while also producing 13 receptions for 164 yards and four scores in 2024.
With that being said, Booth took some time for an exclusive interview with Roundtable Sports. For fans who don't know much about Booth, this will be a good opportunity to get to know him a bit better.
First up, we talked about the NFL Draft process for him and how he came to the decision of signing with Cleveland.
"Draft process was pretty straight forward. I knew it was potential seventh round or free agency. I was just eager to find out what team I would be playing for. I chose the Browns because of the connections I built with some of the coaches and staff and it felt genuine."
Booth was also happy to provide a brief description of what he brings to the field.
"I would describe my game as a versatile playmaker who could make a difference in every aspect of the game."

"I'm excited to play with everyone, everything will be new to me so I'm excited to see how everyone handles being in the NFL. I also have a fellow bulldog Bookie I’m excited to play beside him."
For those who enjoy a good comparison, Booth revealed a current NFL running back that he has modeled his game after.
"I model my game after Alvin Kamara. He’s my favorite RB just because how versatile he is and my favorite running back of all time is Reggie Bush."
He also opened up about what he thinks his biggest strengths and weaknesses are entering the NFL.
“Strengths - Quick decision making, third down value, and special teams potential. Weaknesses - None, just things I’m getting better at.”
Outside of football, Booth shared a couple of details about his personal life.
“Away from the game I’m a dad and a gamer. I love spending time with my son and I love playing 2k.”
Booth was also happy to share some advice for young players who have dreams of playing in the NFL.
“Advice I would give is your work doesn’t get unnoticed! Someone is always watching so keep your head down and work.”
Finally, we talked about who he thinks the NFL's GOAT is. His response might surprise some.
“My GOAT is Drew Brees. I been a Saints fan since Reggie Busy and watching Drew and the leadership he brings sparked the whole team.”
The interview rounded out with Booth sending out a shoutout to those who have helped him along the way.
“Shoutout to all my family and friends, coaches, staff, trainers, etc. Couldn’t have done it without none of them. There’s definitely more to come!"
