Myles Garrett was voted the best player in the NFL after his historic 2025 season.
Former Cleveland Browns star Myles Garrett was voted the NFL's best player.
Garrett, who was traded by the Browns to the Los Angeles Rams this offseason, won this year's NFL top 100 players vote.
Garrett was named the 2025 Defensive Player of the Year after setting the NFL's single-season sack record. He also won the award in 2023, when he led the NFL with 33 tackles for loss.
Garrett is the ninth player to win multiple Defensive Player of the Year awards since the award was first issued in 1971. He's the only active player to do so.
The Browns went 5-12 last season despite Garrett breaking the single-season sack record. Garrett had 43 solo tackles, 33 tackles for loss and 39 QB hits, proving he is undoubtedly the best defender and player in the NFL.
Cleveland went 54-79-1 in the Garrett era. Garrett finished his Browns career with 125.5 sacks, 293 solo tackles, 149 tackles for loss and 239 QB hits. He made seven Pro Bowls and five All-Pro teams.
Browns general manager Andrew Berry was recently on the Deebo & Joe show and he talked about how his son didn't speak to him after the Garrett trade. Cleveland acquired Jared Verse from LA.
"When I told my eight-year-old son Myles Garrett, he's no longer with the team, his response was you did what?! That was his response," Berry said. "He didn't talk to me for the rest of the afternoon."
Cleveland plays the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers, Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Jets, Baltimore Ravens, Tennessee Titans, New Orleans Saints, Houston Texans, Las Vegas Raiders, Cincinnati Bengals, Atlanta Falcons, New York Giants and Indianapolis Colts this season. That's a pretty tough schedule.
All signs point to the Browns missing the playoffs in Year 1 of the Todd Monken era.
Meanwhile, Garrett could win his first Super Bowl this season, as the Rams are stacked on both sides of the ball.
Aaron Donald just came out of retirement, so the Rams now have two future Hall of Famers on defense.
