Reinforcements appear to be on the way for the Cleveland Browns on both sides of the ball for a Week 8 showdown with the New England Patriots.
Most notably, second-year defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. will make his 2025 season debut for Cleveland. Hall has been inactive for each of the first seven weeks of the season as he continued working his way back from multiple offseason surgeries to repair a torn MCL and a dislocated knee.
At the end of training camp, the Browns opted for keeping Hall as part of the active roster instead of having him begin the season on the physically unable to perform list so that he could practice with the team. Last Friday Hall was a full participant at practice for the first time this season, which was a step closer to him returning, but the team held him out one more week. Now, he's ready to roll.
Meanwhile, after missing Week 7 as he worked his way through the concussion protocol, starting right tackle Jack Conklin is officially active for Cleveland as well. Conklin suffered the head injury during the team's Week 6 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. His return is an important one for the Browns o-line that has played seven different combinations in the trenches this season.
The Browns did list two players are questionable for Sunday's matchup, including tight end David Njoku, who suffered a knee injury against the Steelers two weeks back. The 2023 Pro Bowler missed Week 7 due to the ailment. He was limited at practice throughout the week.
Additionally, defensive tackle Adin Huntington heads into the weekend as questionable as he continues working his way through the concussion protocol. Huntington suffered the head injury in the team's win over the Miami Dolphins last week. He started the week as with "did not practice" designation on Wednesday and Thursday but was on the field on Friday, however still in the protocol.
Also returning to practice on Friday were safety Rayshawn Jenkins, who dealt with wrist and back injuries this week, and center Ethan Pocic, who missed practice Thursday due to an illness.
