NFL Analyst Takes Brutal Shot at Browns cover image

The Cleveland Browns have been a walking disaster for a while.

NFL analyst Brent Sobleski of Bleacher Report took a brutal shot at the Cleveland Browns organization.

Here's what he said: "Cleveland is always a winner on draft day, just not when games actually matter."

Sobleski isn't wrong. The Browns haven't made the playoffs since 2023. They won three games last season and are currently 3-10.

Cleveland is 29th in the NFL in points per game and 17th in points per game allowed. Myles Garrett is the best defender in the league, but he doesn't have enough help. Meanwhile, Shedeur Sanders is playing for a coach who makes foolish decisions week after week.

If Sanders continues to play well, it's possible the Browns won't have to draft a QB in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft. However, Kevin Stefanski shouldn't be back, especially after the move he pulled in Week 14 against the Tennessee Titans.

Stefanski didn't have Sanders on the field for the game-tying two-point attempt against the Titans. He called a trick play that failed and the Browns lost, 31-29.

Why in the world did Stefanski not have Sanders on the field? Sanders had his best game as a pro against the Titans. He went 23-42 through the air for 364 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. The Colorado product also had 29 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown.

Sanders is the first Browns QB with three passing touchdowns and a rushing TD in a game since Derek Anderson in Week 6 of the 2007 season.

"He fought throughout the game, which we knew he would," Stefanski said of Sanders. "Obviously, with any young player there's going to be ups and downs, and I thought there were some really, really, really good moments. He'll keep learning from some of the plays that he wants back, but some really good moments."

The Browns face the Chicago Bears in Week 15. I'm not trying to be negative, but don't be surprised if Stefanski does something silly in that game. It's what he's been at.
