The Cleveland Browns finally learned who they will be playing against this week when taking on the Ravens.
The Cleveland Browns will be facing off against the Baltimore Ravens this week, hosting their AFC North rivals in a big contest.
Cleveland enters the game with a record of 3-2 on the season, being one of the bigger surprise teams of the year so far. Baltimore comes in with a record of 4-1 on the season, meaning that first place of the AFC North could be on the line here.
All week, the Ravens have been dealing with an injury concern around star quarterback Lamar Jackson, with there being questions about whether he would play against the Browns. But now, the Ravens have announced that Jackson will be ruled out for the game against Cleveland.
Backup Tyler Huntley will start for the Ravens in his place this week, giving the Browns a chance to face their former player. Cleveland will try to take down Baltimore this week to take over the division.
While Jackson isn't playing in the game, the Browns can't overlook Huntley at all. The veteran signal-caller just led Baltimore to a win over the Atlanta Falcons last week, and he has talent to make life tough on Cleveland.
Against Atlanta, Huntley threw for 201 yards and two touchdowns, showing command of the entire offense. Like Jackson, Huntley can be a dual-threat quarterback, although not as explosive, and this is something that Cleveland will have to watch for.
Baltimore will be trying to take down the Browns without Jackson on the road, which could be a tough challenge. Cleveland's defense has been very good this season, and they will need to pressure Huntley throughout the entire game.
On the other side of the ball, Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson will have to command the offense well enough. Last week, Watson couldn't overcome the weather, seeing the Browns drop the game to the New York Jets.
But overall, Watson has done well this season, giving Cleveland a chance to win games each week. The veteran quarterback has looked more like his old self this season, showing elusiveness out on the field as each week goes by.
Against an opportunistic Ravens defense, Watson will have to limit turnovers, putting the offense in a position to get touchdowns, not field goals. Cleveland has been able to generate points this season, but the running game has remained a challenge for this team.
Kickoff for the game between the Browns and Ravens is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. PT/1:00 p.m. ET.
