The Cleveland Browns offense is going to go as the quarterback play goes, but there are two second-year players that could be X-Factors for their offense.
The Cleveland Browns' season is going to be determined by the play that they get from the quarterback in 2026. Whether it is Deshaun Watson or Shedeur Sanders, the wins and losses will all be because of the quarterback play.
With that said, two second-year players could really accelerate the Browns' offense if things are going well next year.
Cleveland's offense is going to be so very young. All of their skill positions except for Jerry Jeudy will be in their second season, and up front, the two most important positions could very well be rookies.
Wide receivers, left tackles, centers, running backs, tight ends, and maybe even the quarterback are all going to either be rookies or second-year players next year.
So, who could set this offense apart? You can pretty much take Quinshon Judkins and Harold Fannin Jr.'s production to the bank, but the two guys who could take the Browns offense to the next level are Dylan Sampson and Isaiah Bond.
Sampson really never found his footing under Kevin Stefanski. There were so many outside circumstances that killed the Browns' run game, and the lack of production up front by the offensive line made it nearly impossible for both Judkins and Sampson to find success.
It is important not to forget that just two years ago, Sampson was the Offensive Player of the Year in the SEC. He is not just a scat back or a receiving back, which is what he appeared to be last year. He can run inside the tackles and compete at the line of scrimmage.
He is going to be huge for Cleveland because he is so explosive, but he also is going to be able to take hits from Judkins, who is coming off a gruesome leg injury last year.
On the outside, second-year player Isaiah Bond could be quite the Swiss Army knife for the Cleveland attack.
He is such a vertical threat down the field, and the Browns, for whatever reason, could never find him last year. Whenever Cleveland's "fast 11 personnel" comes out and it is Denzel Boston, KC Concepcion, Bond, and Harold Fannin Jr. on the outsides, this offense has the potential to be very, very explosive.
Combined, Bond and Sampson really hold the keys to a major improvement in the Browns' offense. If they meet their potential, Cleveland's offense could take a major step forward.
If they don't, they will just add to the list of rookie misses for the Cleveland Browns.
