Both the Bucs and Steelers have three players officially out, and a few other key players who may or may not be able to play on Sunday.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are looking to build on their first win of the season when they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers at home in Week 6.

The Bucs finally got into the win column by going on the road and upsetting the Dallas Cowboys in prime time on Thursday Night Football. Even though they are still only 1-4, the Bucs breathed some life into their season and are only 1.5 games out of first place in the NFC South.

However, Tampa must take advantage of having three winnable games upcoming if the victory over Dallas is to mean anything.

In Week 6, the Bucs get a home matchup with the 3-2 Steelers, who have been very inconsistent this season. Pittsburgh has alternated wins and losses through five weeks, and the Steelers’ offense has been all over the place.

Their offense was historically bad in the first two games, but QB Aaron Rodgers has rebounded to throw for three touchdowns in each of Pittsburgh’s last three games.

Both teams are coming into Week 6 a bit banged up. On Friday’s injury report, both the Bucs and the Steelers officially ruled three players out for Sunday.

Tampa’s Injury Report

Tampa’s injury report on Friday shows a team that will be shorthanded against the Steelers.

Despite 10 days to recover since the Bucs’ last game, QB Baker Mayfield is still not ready to return from the dislocated thumb he suffered late in Week 3.

The team will once again turn to undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels, who earned the first win of his career last week at Dallas.

Safety Antoine Winfield Jr. is still out with his rib injury. This will be Winfield’s second straight missed game with what was reported as a 2-4 week absence.

WR David Sills V, who had his 21-day evaluation window opened this week, will not be activated this week.

CB Benjamin Morrison is listed as doubtful with his quad injury. He was able to get in three limited practices this week, but appears headed for a third straight missed game.

Star rookie LB Josiah Trotter, who was just predicted to be named a Pro Bowler this season, was a late addition to the injury report on Friday and listed as questionable with a knee injury.

Suffering an injury during the week is usually not a good sign for someone’s chances to play on Sunday, so Trotter’s availability will be something to keep an eye on.

Also questionable are LB SirVocea Dennis (ankle/foot), CB Ayden Garnes (ankle), and RB Sean Tucker (quad).

Pittsburgh’s Injury Report

Pittsburgh also has three players ruled out on it’s Friday injury report.

WRs Roman Wilson (finger) and Ben Skowronek (calf) are both out, as is safety DeShon Elliott (knee), who is also in his 21-day window to be activated from IR.

Star WR DK Metcalf is questionable after being added to the report Friday with an illness.

Also questionable are CB Jalen Ramsey (wrist), RB Rico Dowdle (toe), DT Keeanu Benton (ankle), and former Buc, CB Jamel Dean (ankle).

That is a lot of talent for the Steelers who may or may not be able to suit up Sunday.

We will find out who is in and who is out when the inactives are released 90 minutes before game time on Sunday.
