Two Tampa Bay Buccaneers players were selected for the Pro Football Writers Association's 2025 On-Field Awards, the organization announced Friday.
Receiver Emeka Egbuka and cornerback Jacob Parrish were named to the PFWA's All-Rookie Team, Egbuka on offense and Parrish on defense.
Egbuka also is one of the five finalists for the NFL and Associated Press' 2025 Offensive Rookie of the Year. Among Egbuka's competition for the annual award is his former Ohio State teammate, running back TreVeyon Henderson of the New England Patriots. In addition to the two Buckeye rookies are New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart and New Orleans Saints QB Tyler Shough, and receiver Tetairoa McMillan from the Carolina Panthers.

When injuries hobbled the Bucs receiver corps early in the season, Egbuka stepped into a starting role immediately. Helping lead the Bucs to 3-1 to start the season, Egbuka finished a four-game stretch in September with 18 catches for 282 yards and four touchdowns, recording the most receiving yards and TDs ever for a Tampa rookie in his first four games.
The 6-foot-1, 202-pounder appeared in 17 games, starting 13, and finished the season with 63 receptions for 938 yards (14.89-yard average) and six touchdowns.
Parrish also played in 16 of the Bucs' 17 games, getting five starts. A third-round draft pick (84th overall) out of Kansas State, Parrish totaled 50 solo tackles on the season and assisted on 26 more; he also logged two sacks, two interceptions and seven passes defensed this season.
