PFSN's mock draft targets offense first for the Buccaneers, snagging a top tight end before addressing defense and edge rush.
The NFL draft is four days away, and mock drafts are heating up before the three-day event, as PFSN's Ryan Guthrie dropped a new three-round mock on Saturday.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have three picks within the top 100 selections. While many draft analysts predict the Buccaneers' draft choices will lean toward defense, Guthrie has them selecting a top offensive talent with their 15th pick.
Listed below are Guthrie's three mock selections for Tampa Bay.
Round 1 (No. 15): TE Kenyon Sadiq
Sadiq is widely regarded as the best tight end in the draft and has gained steam as a serious selection for the Buccaneers over the last several weeks. Draft analysts list tight end as a positional need for Tampa Bay due to offensive coordinator Zac Robinson's use of two tight ends in his scheme.
Sadiq is 6-foot-3 and hauled in 51 receptions and eight touchdowns last season for the Oregon Ducks. His eight touchdowns led all FBS tight ends.
He posted elite combine stats, placing him first in athleticism score (99) and total score (93), while finishing second in production score (80).
Drafting Sadiq would put him in the company of Cade Otton, Emeka Egbuka, Jalen McMillan and other receivers to add another weapon for Baker Mayfield next year.
Round 2 (No. 46): CB Keith Abney II
Guthrie expects Abney II to add depth to a cornerback room in Tampa Bay that saw Christian Izien depart for the Detroit Lions and Jamel Dean sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The 5-foot-11 cornerback displayed his ability to generate turnovers in his junior season at Arizona State, with two interceptions and two forced fumbles. He also added his first career sack against Northern Arizona.
Abney II finished with a 93.1 cornerback impact (CBi) grade, and Guthrie expects the Sun Devil to bolster a Tampa Bay secondary that ranked 19th in PFSN's Defense Impact metric (72.8) and 27th in passing yards allowed (4,049).
Round 3 (No. 76): Edge Romello Height
Height is a standout edge who can get to the quarterback, finishing with a career-high 10 sacks in his senior season at Texas Tech.
The 6-foot-3 edge rusher would be paired up with outside linebackers Yaya Diaby and Al-Quadin Muhammad, and could help bolster Tampa Bay's ability to pressure opposing quarterbacks.
