Different Week, Same Story Cardinals Fall Short in Tampa Bay cover image

Arizona cannot finish in late game scenarios, Jacoby Brissett another big game.

Arizona Cardinals at 3-8 go into Tampa to face the 6-5 Buccaneers. The season for the Cardinals is already a bust, but Tampa is trying to hold onto playoff hopes and get back into the NFC South title race.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers were able to snap a three-game losing streak at home on Sunday, as well as hold onto first place in the NFC South.

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett for the fourth game this year threw for over three hundred plus yards and multiple touchdowns in a losing game.

The Cardinals storyline this season has been losing close games and not being able to finish. This game was just that, Arizona had another chance to close out a game in the final minute and instead could not convert on fourth and one.

Tampa Bay was able to hold onto the lead and pull out a 17-20 victory at home.

In the first half the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were able to come up with an early defensive turnover and converted a touchdown on a trick-play.

Tampa went into the halftime with a ten-point lead over Arizona.

To start the second half, Tampa struck quick and produced a long drive that ended in a 13-yard rushing touchdown. This extended the lead to 17-3 over the Cardinals.

Jacoby Brissett was able to conduct a 72-yard drive of his own that produced a 15-yard pass to Knight for a touchdown.

The scoring continued when the Bucs were able to kick a 57-yard field goal, although the Cardinals would not go quiet into the night.

Arizona's duo of Brissett and tight end Tre McBride were able to connect to make the game a little more interesting. Making the score 20-17 with minutes remaining in the game.

The Cardinal's defense was able to come up with a stop but again the offense was not able to take advantage of the situation. Another close game where the Arizona Cardinals fell short and not able to close the game out.
