Should the Cardinals move on and stick with Brissett?

The Arizona Cardinals are closing on a very disappointing 2025 season. The biggest question moving forward for the Cardinals is, will Kyler Murray return?

Kyler Murray was at one time considered the face of the franchise and has now become one of the most debated topics in the NFL. Murray was viewed as a generational talent and the player the Arizona Cardinals organization was building the team around.

Kyler Murray was drafted first overall by the Cardinals in 2019. Murray offered and brought a dual threat to the table and potential to make Arizona true contenders.

Murray was awarded offensive rookie of the year in 2019 and selected to the pro bowl in 2020 and 2021. Living up to all expectations up until recent years.

The downfall of Murray all started after suffering a knee injury in 2023. Not returning to his normal self in 2024 was frustrating for Murray and the Cardinals.

Earlier this season in 2025 Murray suffered a foot injury in week 5 that ended up landing him on the injured reserve. The Cardinals organization ultimately made the decision to keep Murray on the injured reserve for the remainder of the season.

With Murray being out the Cardinals went to their veteran backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett.

Brissett stepped in and the Arizona offense produced a more consistent offensive performance.

In one start this season Jacoby Brissett actually set an NFL record for the most completions by a quarterback in a NFL regular season game. Brissett threw for 45-52 in that game.

With Brissett is getting more production out of the Cardinal offense, averaging more yards and points per game than the Cardinals did under Murray.

With the injuries haunting Murray since 2023. Where does Murray fit in the future with the Arizona Cardinals? Should they trade who once was a prowl bowl starting quarterback?
