It is always great to have outstanding coaches and staff working for your team, but unfortunately with success comes the possibility of losing them. Adam Schefter of ESPN reported on Thursday that the Minnesota Vikings have requested permission to interview Chargers’ assistant general manager Chad Alexander for their open GM position. 

Alexander is by no means the only candidate for the position, but there is real threat that he could earn himself a promotion sooner rather than later. He has an excellent reputation among the league.
