The NFL Draft Combine is underway and, according to Charlie Campbell of Walter Football, the Los Angeles Chargers prefer to draft a defensive lineman with pick number 22 in the first round.
While the Chargers have multiple glaring holes on the roster heading into 2026, this draft is considered a strong defensive lineman class. With players such as Denzel Perryman not guaranteed to return, it is clear that the Chargers are excited about the idea of adding a blue-chip defensive player for new defensive coordinator Chris O’Leary.
