While Mike McDaniel and the Chargers have made sweeping changes to this offensive coaching staff, it is apparent that they know when to leave things alone.

According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Chargers plan to keep wide receivers coach Sanjay Lal and quarterbacks coach Shane Day on the staff. 

Sanjay Lal has proven that he can help develop wide receivers, as shown with Quentin Johnston’s improvement. Justin Herbert has long trusted Shane Day, so the decision to keep him should be a popular one for the franchise quarterback.
