ESPN's Krim Rhim reports that the Los Angeles Chargers have hired former New York Jets and Miami Dolphins head coach Adam Gase as the overseer of their passing game.
Gase was last seen being fired by the Jets in 2020 after a 2-14 season with him at the helm.
After a five-season hiatus, Gase rejoins the NFL in hopes of helping the Chargers take the next step toward legitimate Super Bowl contention.
The Chargers have already had an eventful offseason, evidenced by their huge hire of the most recent Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel as their new offensive coordinator.
