Have the Chargers finally done it? After watching their franchise quarterback Justin Herbert take a record-setting number of hits last season, they took Jake Slaughter in the second round to help shore up the offensive line. 

The issue? The Chargers hope he can slide into left guard and his experience is at the center position. 

Could he fit the role? Sure. However, relying on a rookie to seamlessly switch positions is a tough task. Regardless, it is refreshing to finally see the Chargers take steps to protect Herbert.
