Los Angeles announced another adjustment to their practice squad Monday.

The Los Angeles Chargers continue to make adjustments to their roster as they prepare for the 2026 season opener against the Arizona Cardinals, with the team making another change to its practice squad Monday.

The Bolts re-signed cornerback Isas Waxter to the practice squad and released wide receiver Gary Jennings, giving Waxter another opportunity to develop within the organization.

Waxter's return comes just days after the Chargers released him from the practice squad to make room for several additions, including former first-round pick Kaiir Elam. Los Angeles also added defensive tackle Jordan Jefferson and wide receiver Theo Wease in that series of moves that led to his initial release.

Now, Waxter is back in the building and ready to prove he belongs.

The 24-year-old originally joined the Chargers after spending time with the Seattle Seahawks. He was released by Seattle earlier this offseason before eventually finding his way back to Los Angeles. His return gives the Bolts another young defensive back they can continue developing and possibly elevate on game day if insurance is needed.

While Waxter isn't currently on the active roster, remaining on the practice squad gives him a chance to continue working within defensive coordinator Chris O'Leary's system and potentially earn an opportunity if the Chargers need additional depth in the secondary.

For Jennings, meanwhile, his brief stint with the Chargers comes to an end after joining the organization in August.

The 29-year-old wide receiver was originally a fourth-round pick by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2019 NFL Draft out of West Virginia. He has spent time with several teams throughout his career, but hasn't been able to find a home so far.

Jennings had only recently arrived in Los Angeles and was competing for an opportunity to remain in the fold. However, with the coaching staff continuing to evaluate its wide receiver depth, they ultimately decided to move on.

For Waxter, being brought back is a chance to keep his foot in the door with the organization. He'll have to continue proving himself when called upon, but remaining with the team gives him another opportunity to develop and potentially work his way toward an active roster spot.

As for Jennings, the move marks the end of his stint in Los Angeles as the Chargers continue to fine-tune their depth heading into the regular season. With the season just days away, every practice squad move could eventually become important if injuries create opportunities throughout the year.
