The Georgia defensive back could be a Day 2 fit for Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Chargers are scheduled to host Georgia CB Daylen Everette for a Top 30 visit, with the projected Day 2 pick emerging as a potential fit for the Bolts.

Additionally, Everette has already spoken with the Carolina Panthers and is scheduled to meet with the Las Vegas Raiders, Washington Commanders and the reigning Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks.

The 21-year-old Norfolk, Va., native spent all four seasons of his college career with the Bulldogs, earning first-team All-SEC honors as a senior after posting 49 total tackles (28 solo), eight passes broken up and an interception, along with a 90.1 run-defense grade from Pro Football Focus. Everette recorded 149 total tackles (106 solo), 17 passes broken up, five interceptions, two forced fumbles and a sack during his time in college.

Everette recently attended the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine, where he measured six-foot-one, 196 pounds with 31 7/8-inch arms and 9 5/8-inch hands. He ran the second-fastest 40-yard dash among cornerbacks at 4.38 seconds, along with a 1.54-second 10-yard split, a 37.5-inch vertical jump and a 10-foot-four broad jump. Everette posted the fastest speed at the position in three different drills and a top-three speed in two more.

His 9.88 Relative Athletic Score out of a possible 10.00 ranked 35th out of 2,857 cornerbacks from 1987 to 2026. According to Next Gen Stats’ breakdown, Everette’s total score of 75 ranked 12th among cornerbacks, while his estimated athleticism score of 84 ranked third and his production score of 65 ranked 24th

Everette brings experience, with more than 2,400 career snaps played. He wins with his size and length while showcasing above-average ball skills, allowing just a 55.9% completion rate when targeted. He is physical in run defense and has active hands at the line.

As for areas of improvement, he committed five penalties this past season and posted a 19.7% missed tackle rate in 2024, though that improved to 8.8% in 2025. That growth is promising, and NFL-level coaching could help clean up those issues.

With Benjamin St-Juste heading to the Green Bay Packers on a two-year, $10 million deal with $3 million guaranteed, Los Angeles appears to be looking for reinforcements in the secondary and could turn to Day 2 of the draft to address it with a player like Everette — a prospect with the potential to be a long-term cornerstone of the defense and an intriguing piece for first-time defensive coordinator Chris O’Leary.
