The Chargers’ offensive line has been banged up all season, but it recently got star OL Joe Alt back, which helped. Los Angeles entered today far from fully healthy, but was in better shape than in some recent weeks.
But in the first half of Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans, Alt went down yet again. As these things happen with many offensive lineman injuries, Alt had someone fall into his legs from behind, which in turn made his lower body roll up in a painful way.
In what was a scary sight, Alt ended up being carted off the field with a leg injury. Especially in a game that the Chargers were struggling to take care of business early,
this was truly a worst case scenario.

Prayers: Chargers superstar LT Joe Alt is hurt and was carted off the field with a leg injury.
This looked really bad 🙏
Shortly after, the Chargers officially announced that he was questionable to return. Given he was carted off, it would be shocking to see him return today.

Regardless, this is a game that the Chargers should be able to win even without the star tackle. The bigger concern is the severity of the injury and how much time he could miss moving forward. Justin Herbert is playing at an MVP level, but he needs protection in order to remain healthy and make big plays.
Los Angeles has a championship-caliber roster when healthy, so the hope is that closer to the playoffs, the Chargers are able to be more healthy.
