Based on the latest report, it appears that the Los Angeles Chargers may want to stay put with their current roster rather than make any major moves.

The Los Angeles Chargers have had one of the more disappointing starts of any team in the NFL. Before the season, this team was thought to be a playoff contender and even a contender for an AFC West title, but now the Chargers are in their bye week, sitting at a record of 0-6.

As a result of the tough start there has been a lot of speculation that this team would make some moves via trade as sellers at the trade deadline, but the latest report suggests that the Chargers may want to stay put despite being tied for the worst record in the NFL.

Recently, ESPN senior NFL reporter Jeremy Fowler did a temperature check on a few teams, and based on what he has gathered, he posted that the Chargers are still standing pat, however, Fowler did say that there is a long way until the NFL trade deadline on November 10th and that Los Angeles is receiving calls.

With Fowler being a senior NFL reporter for ESPN he does have a lot of information from conversations he has had with people around the league, so until further notice it does appear that the vibes for the Chargers suggest they are not going to make any major moves.

For the Chargers to stay where they are with their current roster is definitely an interesting move, and it will be interesting to see how everything progresses when it comes to the outlook for Los Angeles as the trade deadline gets closer, because if the Chargers are still winless by then, they might be forced to make a move.

So far this year, the Chargers' struggles have been for a variety of reasons, including injuries, quarterback Justin Herbert struggling, and the schedule simply being very tough. However, even with all of that, head coach Jim Harbaugh still has to find a way to fix the issues that Los Angeles has this season, otherwise, his job could really be in jeopardy, if it is not already.

With that said, if the Chargers are not able to pick up wins soon, some players who could be traded out of Los Angeles include wide receiver Quentin Johnston, edge rusher Khalil Mack, and safety Derwin James Jr., as Mack and James are two veterans who could potentially use a change of scenery, and Johnston has simply struggled to get going consistently with Herbert.

So, with all that in mind, it will be interesting to see if Harbaugh, Herbert, and the Chargers can figure out how to pick up a few wins after the bye week, or if general manager Joe Hortiz really does have to make some moves at the trade deadline to put Los Angeles in a better position to have success moving forward, whether that be in 2026 or in future seasons.
