
The Missouri offensive tackle could make sense for Los Angeles on Day 3 of the NFL Draft.
The Los Angeles Chargers have done extensive work on the offensive tackle class following injuries to star tandem Joe Alt and Rashawn Slater last season. With that in mind, Missouri OT Keagen Trost could make sense as a Day 3 option for the Bolts depending on how the board falls.
Mizzou AthleticsThe 25-year-old Kankakee, IL native played at four different schools over a seven-year college career. As a freshman at Morgan State in 2019, he logged just 59 total snaps and allowed two pressures on 28 pass-blocking snaps. He transferred to Indiana State in 2020, though the program canceled its season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2021, Trost saw just eight snaps, missing the rest of the season after suffering a torn ligament in his right ankle. He returned in 2022 and began to showcase his abilities, appearing in 11 games with eight starts as his role expanded throughout the season. He allowed four sacks and 14 total pressures on 367 pass-blocking snaps, while committing just two penalties on 677 total snaps.
His final season at Indiana State was his best with the program, as he allowed just one sack and six total pressures on 227 pass-blocking snaps, earning an 83.7 pass-blocking grade from Pro Football Focus, while committing two penalties on 432 total snaps.
Trost transferred to Wake Forest in 2024, allowing two sacks and 19 pressures on 469 pass-blocking snaps, while committing four penalties on 772 total snaps.
For his final season in 2025, Trost transferred to Missouri, earning First-Team All-American honors after allowing just one sack and seven total pressures on 432 pass-blocking snaps, while committing four penalties on 891 total snaps.
He earned an overall grade of 92.4 from PFF this past season, ranking first among 632 qualifying offensive tackles. His 85.4 pass-blocking grade ranked 11th, while his 91.7 run-blocking grade ranked first at the position.
Trost attended the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine, where he measured in at 6-foot-4, 311 pounds with 32 3/8-inch arms and 9 1/4-inch hands, while posting a 31-inch vertical jump.
According to Next Gen Stats, his performance earned a total score of 75, ranking 10th among offensive tackles. His production score of 82 ranked second, while his estimated athleticism score of 75 ranked 14th.
With 42 career starts, Trost has shown clear growth over his career. He brings a well-built frame, good control through contact and positional versatility, with experience in both gap and zone schemes—giving him developmental starting upside and making him an intriguing Day 3 option for the Chargers.
