Travis Kelce reached 1,100 career receptions during the Chiefs' victory over the Chargers, adding another milestone to his Hall of Fame-caliber career.

The Kansas City Chiefs watched Travis Kelce add another milestone to his remarkable career during Sunday's victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.

Kelce reached 1,100 career regular-season receptions in Kansas City's 22-6 win at Arrowhead Stadium, becoming the seventh player in NFL history to reach that mark.

The 37-year-old tight end caught four of five targets for 53 yards, bringing his career totals to 1,100 receptions and 13,301 receiving yards.

According to the Chiefs' official statistics, Kelce has also caught 84 touchdown passes during his 14 NFL seasons, all spent with Kansas City.

Kelce had already moved past Hall of Fame receiver Tim Brown into seventh place on the NFL's career receptions list earlier this month. His latest achievement puts him another step closer to the players ahead of him.

The milestone comes during a season in which Kelce continues to play an important role in Kansas City's offense despite turning 37 earlier this month.

Through five games, he has 20 receptions for 299 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 15 yards per catch.

His continued production has been particularly valuable with the Chiefs dealing with injuries and uncertainty at wide receiver.

Tyquan Thornton suffered a dislocated ankle in Kansas City's October 4 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders, while Rashee Rice has also dealt with a hamstring injury.

Kelce's longtime connection with quarterback Patrick Mahomes has remained an important part of the offense.

Mahomes connected with Kelce nine times for 101 yards in Kansas City's overtime victory over Indianapolis on September 20, one of several encouraging performances during Mahomes' return from last season's knee injury.

Kenneth Walker III rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns Sunday, while Xavier Worthy caught seven passes for 73 yards as Kansas City improved to 5-0 with its victory over the Chargers.

His career accomplishments already include three Super Bowl championships and numerous NFL receiving records for tight ends.

He also owns the Chiefs' franchise records for receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns.

With Kansas City unbeaten through five games, Kelce has another opportunity to add to those totals while helping the Chiefs pursue a return to the postseason.

And although his career is much closer to its end than its beginning, reaching 1,100 receptions provides another reminder of the lasting impact he has made on the franchise and the NFL.
