The Kansas City Chiefs will be taking on the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, Oct. 5, as two undefeated AFC West rivals look to continue their flawless seasons.
The Kansas City Chiefs started the 2026-27 season in dominant fashion, opening up the year 3-0.
After missing the playoffs last season for the first time in over a decade, quarterback Patrick Mahomes tearing his ACL and LCL at the tail end of the year and finishing at 6-11, many doubted Kansas City's dynasty status moving forward.
However, after Week 3 of the current NFL season, it appears that the Chiefs are right back where they belong.
In Week 1, Kansas City dominated their AFC West Rival Denver Broncos, in Week 2 the Chiefs won an OT thriller against the Indianapolis Colts and in Week 3 they emerged victorious against the Miami Dolphins.
Our hosts, Golden J and Chico, open up this weeks episode of Roundtable's Chiefs podcast discussing the teams most recent win.
Kansas City's big offseason addition, Super Bowl LX MVP running back Kenneth Walker III, had yet another strong performance -- racking up 70 rushing yards and bringing in two touchdowns in the 24-10 win.
Mahomes' bounce-back campaign continues as well, with the QB posting 246 passing yards with two touchdowns in the air.
Tight end Travis Kelce keeps turning back the clock, logging 59 yards on two receptions and found the end zone once.
Looking ahead to Week 4, the Chiefs are on the road against one of the biggest surprise stories of the season thus far. The Las Vegas Raiders are also sitting at 3-0, led by veteran QB Kirk Cousins and a strong supporting cast of tight ends Michael Mayer and Brock Bowers, RB Ashton Jeanty and wide receiver Tre Tucker.
Sunday's matchup will be one of the most exciting games of the week, with both AFC West inhabitants squaring off in Vegas.
Chico's gives his prediction for the upcoming game, noting that there are similarities between the Raiders and Colts matchup earlier this season. Indianapolis came into Week 2 with a chip on their shoulder, playing well and looking to take down the Chiefs.
Las Vegas is also coming off a great stretch of football, so Chico predicts that they will be bringing their A-Game in an effort to take down their AFC rival.
Golden J makes the same points, but acknowledges that Cousins has the ability to tear through the Chiefs' defense as a seasoned vet.
However, both hosts think this game will belong to Kansas City, as only one team can emerge with an undefeated record of 4-0.
