Mahomes' aerial attack ignites with a full arsenal, dominating defenses. See how this offensive firepower signals a dominant Super Bowl push.

The Kansas City Chiefs defense shut out the division rival Las Vegas Raiders in a 31-0 Week 7 win, but it may have proven more of a sign to things to come for the Chiefs’ offense rather than the defense.

As the Bleacher Report NFL Staff put it in a recent article, the Kansas City offense looks ready to take it to the next level.

“Last week, against the Detroit Lions, the Chiefs scored 30 points without wideout Rashee Rice. With him, they dropped 31 on the Raiders and could've done more damage if they kept their starters in the game,” the B/R NFL Staff wrote.

“Even with tight end Travis Kelce in his latter years, the Chiefs' aerial attack can run laps around opposing defenses with Rashee Rice joining Xavier Worthy and Hollywood Brown. The trio played their first game together on Sunday.”

Week 7 was truly the start of the season for the Chiefs offense, as it finally had all of its weapons back on the field playing together, and it proved to be deadly. They torched the Raiders defense for 434 total yards on the game. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw three touchdowns and 286 yards on 26/35 attempts, finishing with a 126.6 passer rating.

Nine different receivers got involved in the Kansas City passing game, with receiver Rashee Rice leading the team in receptions with seven. He tallied 42 receiving yards and two touchdowns in his first game back after serving a six-game suspension to start the 2025 season.

With Rice back, receiver Xavier Worthy getting healthier, and consistent performance from tight end Travis Kelce and others, the Chiefs finally have all their pieces needed to start dominating NFL defense once again.

It didn’t take long for them to show the football world that they are indeed still a top team in the AFC and have a shot at making yet another Super Bowl run. Kansas City is now back above .500 with a 4-3 record, tied for second in the AFC West division.

The Chiefs have now scored 30 points in three of its last four games, with the lone exception being a 28-point performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 5. They look ready to take that next step, especially with all of their offensive threats being available.

Week 8 will give Mahomes and the offense a pretty good opportunity to take it into high gear, as they face a Washington Commanders defense that has allowed the fifth most passing yards in the NFL. The offense put petal to the metal in Week 7, but they’ll look to take it up a notch in Week 8.
