Jonathan Taylor had nearly 300 yards of offense and three touchdowns as the Indianapolis Colts battled back against the Atlanta Falcons for a 31-25 overtime win.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — It was downright ugly at times, but the Indianapolis Colts found a way to bury their mistakes and fight back for a 31-25 win over the Atlanta Falcons in overtime, overseas in Berlin, Germany.

Colts superstar running back Jonathan Taylor had one of the most shining moments of his career, amassing 286 yards of offense and three touchdowns on 35 touches. He willed the Colts to critical points in the fourth quarter, as well as scoring the game-ending eight-yard touchdown in overtime.

Colts quarterback Daniel Jones added another pair of turnovers to his tally, as he was also sacked a jaw-dropping seven times. As a playcaller, Colts head coach Shane Steichen stayed his aggressive self, but it nearly doomed the Colts on Sunday.

In a tight, one-score difference for much of the game, the Colts had two drives stall out and result in turnovers on downs. Rather than taking field goals, the Colts were stopped on fourth downs at Atlanta's 27 and 5-yard lines. To Steichen's credit, Colts kicker Michael Badgley did miss an extra point and a 53-yard field goal attempt during the contest.

Badgley would shake off the issues, however, knocking in a 44-yard field goal with under 30 seconds remaining in regulation to send the game to overtime.

    FIRST QUARTER

The Colts took the opening drive well into Falcons territory, highlighted by a trio of 10-plus-yard receptions by Jonathan Taylor, Tyler Warren, and Alec Pierce. However, on 2nd-and-6 at the Atlanta 31 yard-line, Taylor drove toward the first-down line but was inexplicably considered down with two yards to gain. The Colts then passed twice (both incomplete) and turned the ball over on downs.

The Colts' defense had the offense's back. Four plays in, safety Cam Bynum came firing in off of Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr.'s blindside and forced a fumble, which was recovered by Colts linebacker Germaine Pratt.

The Colts' offense took over at Atlanta's 23-yard line and scored after a 22-yard Ashton Dulin run, followed by a one-yard Taylor run. Michael Badgley's extra point went wide right. It made it 6-0, Colts, with 8:36 left in the first quarter.

The Falcons' offense shook off their early gaffe and responded well. After five plays, Falcons running back Tyler Allgeier ran the ball into the end zone from a yards out. The extra point gave them an early 7-6 lead with 6:07 left in the first quarter.

The Colts' offense exploded once again in just two plays. First, was a 28-yard Taylor run, followed by a 37-yard touchdown throw from Daniel Jones to Pierce into the end zone. Badgley's extra point was good on this occasion, giving the Colts a 13-7 lead with 5:19 remaining in the quarter.

    SECOND QUARTER

After forcing a Falcons punt, the Colts' offense put together an 11-play drive that got them down to Atlanta's 35-yard line. Badgley's 53-yard field goal attempt went short, as he missed his second kick of the day.

Late in second half, the Falcons offense' put together a fruitful drive, going 55 yards in six plays, as Penix found receiver Drake London for a 16-yard touchdown throw down the right side. Atlanta appeared to confuse the Colts in coverage. The play put Atlanta up, 14-13, with 3:25 left in the half.

Following Atlanta's score, the Colts put together a somewhat befuddling final drive of the half, featuring a questionable play call on 2nd-and-1, and ultimately, an interception by Jones as he got a bit aggressive trying to find a chunk play.

    THIRD QUARTER

The Falcons opened up the second half with a 43-yard field goal by Zane Gonzalez to extend the lead to 17-13.

The Colts' following drive started out well, with a 24-yard reception by Taylor. However, Jones fumbled the ball twice on sacks on the drive; the first he recovered, and the second being recovered by Falcons rookie edge Jalon Walker.

The Colts' defense forced a Falcons three-and-out on the next drive, allowing the offense to take over and begin a long drive.

After 14 plays, the drive stalled out at the Falcons' 5-yard line as Taylor was stopped for a loss on 4th-and-1.

    FOURTH QUARTER

After another Colts' defensive stop, the offense got another opportunity to score, and they put three on the board. Taylor almost single-handedly put together a drive that resulted in a 34-yard field goal by Badgley. Jones took a bad sack on third down, two plays after being called for a delay of game.

The Colts' defense came up with yet another stop, forcing a punt on a five-play drive, giving the Colts' offense the ball back.

It only took two plays, but Taylor exploded for an 83-yard touchdown along the left side after fighting his way out of traffic. It gave the Colts their first lead since the first quarter, at 22-17, with 6:02 remaining.

The Falcons responded once again with a touchdown, as Allgeier had another one-yard touchdown. Atlanta went for two and converted, as Penix found London again shallow in the end zone along the left side after Sauce Gardner slipped in coverage. It then became 25-22, Falcons, with 1:44 remaining.

The Colts' offense followed with a gutsy drive. They went 22 yards in eight plays and got a 44-yard field goal from Badgley to tie the game at 25, with 0:25 left.

The Falcons' offense got an intentional grounding call on their next play, which essentially sent the game to overtime

    OVERTIME

The Colts' defense came up big in overtime, sacking Penix on 3rd-and-12 to force a punt.

The Colts' offense then took the ball with decent field position, and it was Taylor's final dominating act. In seven plays for the offense, Taylor touched the ball six times, aided by a 23-yard completion from Jones to Warren early in the drive. Taylor ultimately skated in from eight yards out for the game-winning score, ending the game, 31-25.
