The Indianapolis Colts and Pittsburgh Steelers have ruled five players out ahead of Sunday afternoon's matchup.
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Both the Indianapolis Colts and Pittsburgh Steelers will be without some key contributors as they face on on Sunday afternoon, as the Colts ruled out two (with three questionable) and the Steelers ruled out three players (with four questionable) on Friday.
Here's how each team's health is shaping up ahead of Sunday afternoon's battle:
Did Not Participate — S Nick Cross (shoulder), WR Josh Downs (hip), DE Samson Ebukam (knee), G Matt Goncalves (personal), WR Anthony Gould (knee), DE Tyquan Lewis (groin), CB Kenny Moore II (Achilles), OT Braden Smith (rest), DT Grover Stewart (foot)
Did Not Participate — DE Samson Ebukam (knee), WR Anthony Gould (knee), DT Grover Stewart (foot)
Full Participant — S Nick Cross (shoulder), WR Josh Downs (hip), G Matt Goncalves (personal), CB Jaylon Jones (IR-hamstring), DE Tyquan Lewis (groin), CB Kenny Moore II (Achilles), OT Braden Smith (rest)
FRIDAY
Did Not Participate — DT DeForest Buckner (rest), DE Samson Ebukam (knee), LB Zaire Franklin (rest), WR Anthony Gould (knee)
Limited Participant — CB Kenny Moore II (Achilles)
Full Participant — S Nick Cross (shoulder), WR Josh Downs (hip), G Matt Goncalves (personal), CB Jaylon Jones (IR-hamstring), DE Tyquan Lewis (groin), CB Kenny Moore II (Achilles), OT Braden Smith (rest), DT Grover Stewart (foot)
QUESTIONABLE — CB Jaylon Jones (hamstring), DE Tyquan Lewis (groin), DT Grover Stewart (foot)
OUT — DE Samson Ebukam (knee), WR Anthony Gould (knee)
The Colts ruled out Ebukam after he injured his knee two weeks ago. He's yet to practice. However, the Colts could be getting Lewis back, who also missed last week's game. It would give the defense edge rotation a boost.
Stewart hurt his foot in last Sunday's game and hadn't practiced all week until doing so in full on Friday. That shows optimism for his chances of playing on Sunday.
The Colts could be getting Jones back from IR after two weeks straight of practice, in which he did so fully this week. With how thin the Colts are at cornerback, he'd be a sight for sore eyes.

The Steelers' ailing defense took more hits this week. On Friday, the Steelers placed starting safety DeShon Elliott (knee) and defensive tackle Daniel Ekuale (knee) on Injured Reserve. They also ruled out Trice and Peppers, and could be without Clark, Harrison, and Holcomb on that side of the ball as well.
The good news for Pittsburgh is that starting offensive linemen Frazier and Seumalo both cleared the injury report and will play.
The Colts and Steelers face off on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET at Acrisure Stadium. The game can be viewed on CBS.
