Indianapolis Colts tight end Tyler Warren was one of the biggest standouts from the team's joint practice with the New England Patriots.
The Indianapolis Colts were on-site in Foxborough, Mass., on Tuesday as they participated in a joint practice with the New England Patriots.
Before practice even began, news (or clarification of previous news) about wide receiver Alec Pierce stole the show. On Monday, it was reported that Pierce, who has yet to practice this offseason, had a second platelet-rich plasma shot to aid in recovery from March surgery on his left ankle. On Tuesday before practice, Colts general manager Chris Ballard clarified that Pierce only had a PRP shot in January and, in fact, did not have a second one. The team still expects him to be available on Sept. 13 for their Week 1 regular season opener against the Baltimore Ravens.
Despite the Pierce development, there actually was action on the field outside Gillette Stadium.
*While ColtsRoundtable is always on-site for the typical Colts training camp practice, CR did not make the trip out east to Foxborough and observed notes on Tuesday's practice from others on the Colts beat, such as James Boyd of The Athletic and Joel Erickson of The Indianapolis Star, as well as Patriots beat reporters Doug Kyed and Andrew Callahan of The Boston Herald.

According to head coach Shane Steichen, Jones will not play at all in the preseason.

The roles will reverse next week against the Atlanta Falcons.
— At practice, both Richardson and Leonard were said to be solid overall, Leonard even great early before he threw an interception late to safety John Saunders during the two-minute drill.
