The Indianapolis Colts were without a few starters on their estimated injury report on Wednesday ahead of their matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Indianapolis Colts are entering "do or die" mode after losing three of their last four games and with five contests remaining in the regular season to regain control of their postseason aspirations.

They began their week of preparation for the Jacksonville Jaguars on Wednesday — a location in which you've almost certainly heard by now, they haven't won since 2014 — and they had some notable names don their estimated injury report.

The Colts conducted a walkthrough on Wednesday, so the injury report is an estimation of what it would've been for a full practice. Slot starters, receiver Josh Downs and cornerback Kenny Moore II, were new additions, as was rotational defensive lineman Tyquan Lewis.

Here is how both teams' health is shaping up ahead of Sunday afternoon's matchup.

    COLTS

    WEDNESDAY

The Colts held a walkthrough on Wednesday rather than a full practice, so Wednesday's injury report is an estimation.

    • Did Not Participate — WR Josh Downs (hip/knee), CB Sauce Gardner (calf), DE Tyquan Lewis (groin), CB Kenny Moore II (illness/ankle)
    • Full Participant — LB Jaylon Carlies (ankle), QB Daniel Jones (fibula)

The Colts' Wednesday injury report have garnered a reputation for appearing more brutal than what they wind up being by the time Friday rolls around and gameday designation are made, so Downs, Moore, and Lewis missing practice may have been more of an early-week cautionary measure.

As for Gardner, he is expected to miss some time and is week to week, but as head coach Shane Steichen told local reporters on Monday, they are not considering Injured Reserve.

Jones was projected as a full participant on Wednesday, which is a positive development from how they have had to manage his (reportedly) fractured fibula over the last couple of weeks. He's been given a "limited" designation in at least one day of practice in each of the last two weeks. That still may happen this week, but it didn't happen on Wednesday like it did last week.

“Yeah, I feel good. Feel good," Jones said on Wednesday. "I think – feeling better every week and continue to listen to the doctors and trainers and do what they tell me to do.”

As for Carlies, this is the final week of his 21-day evaluation window. By the end of the week, the Colts must decide to activate him from Injured Reserve or keep him on it for the rest of the season. He has been a full participant in practice every day since he returned to the practice field.

    JAGUARS

    WEDNESDAY

    • Did Not Participate — OT Walker Little (concussion), DE Travon Walker (knee), WR Parker Washington (hip), S Andrew Wingard (concussion)
    • Limited Participant — DT Arik Armstead (hand), P Logan Cooke (shoulder), OT Chuma Edoga (calf), LB Devin Lloyd (chest), LS Ross Matiscik (back), G Patrick Mekari (concussion), LB Foyesade Oluokun (hamstring), DE Danny Striggow (knee)
    • Full Participant — CB Jourdan Lewis (neck), S Eric Murray (neck)

The Jaguars are in a tougher spot, injury-wise, than Indy. Little, Walker, Washington, and Wingard are all starters, and Walker has been out the last two weeks. If Little does not clear concussion protocol, Jacksonville will be without their left tackle.

The Colts and Jaguars face off on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET at EverBank Stadium on CBS.
