    The Indianapolis Colts are retaining general manager Chris Ballard and head coach Shane Steichen for 2026.

    We didn't have to wait long after Sunday's game to find out the fate of Indianapolis Colts general manager Chris Ballard and head coach Shane Steichen for 2026: they'll both be back in 2026, according to a team statement.

    Steichen and owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon will both speak with the media on Monday, while Ballard will speak at a time this week still to be determined.

    The Colts finished the 2025 season with a record of 8-9 for a second consecutive season, missing the playoffs for the fifth straight year.

    While several factors spoiled the Colts' season, injuries derailed the Colts' mojo, with critical players such as Daniel Jones, DeForest Buckner, Sauce Gardner, Charvarius Ward Sr., Braden Smith, and Ashton Dulin missing serious time in the back half of the season as the team spiraled.
