In the sixth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, with the 214th overall pick, the Indianapolis Colts selected Ohio State edge defender Caden Curry, who hails from Center Grove High School in Greenwood, IN.

PROS

Curry took over for current Colts edge Jaylahn Tuimoloau and Jack Sawyer at Ohio State as a first-year starter in 2025 and was incredibly productive, racking up 16.5 tackles for loss, 11.0 sacks, and a blocked kick.

He lacks elite physical measurements and athleticism, but he is stout with power off the edge.

CONS

Curry's athleticism was already in question coming into the pre-draft process, and then he elected not to do athletic testing at the NFL Scouting Combine or Ohio State's pro day. Curry's 30-1/8" arms are also the shortest recorded arms in Combine history for edge defenders.

FIT WITH COLTS

The Colts needed more depth at edge on the strong side, as Tuimoloau and Micheal Clemons are the only notable players on the depth chart on that side. Still, Curry faces an uphill battle for a roster spot after the Colts also drafted edge George Gumbs Jr. on Day 3.
