The Indianapolis Colts have announced the signings of free agent offensive tackles Roy Mbaeteka and Trey Wedig, as well as tight end Tyler Moore.

The Colts also placed tight end Carson Towt on Injured Reserve and waived wide receiver E.J. Horton Jr. and offensive tackle Bayron Matos. Mbaeteka has taken Matos' spot as the Exempt/International Player, allowing the Colts a bonus spot on the roster and, ultimately, the practice squad when the regular season arrives.

Mbaeteka (6'8", 330, 26 years old) went undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft after never having played organized football before, joining the NFL as a member of the International Player Pathway program. He's spent time with the New York Giants (2022), Chicago Bears (2023), Cleveland Browns (2024), Arizona Cardinals (2025), and Miami Dolphins (2025). He spent the 2023, 2024, and 2025 seasons on practice squads. He's played 112 preseason snaps on offense in his career.

Wedig (6'6", 310, 24) worked out for the Colts on Monday. He went undrafted in 2025 out of Indiana University, starting 21 games between Wisconsin and IU from 2021-24, including 13 at right tackle in his only season in Bloomington. The 2024 Hoosiers offensive line was a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award, recognizing the top offensive line in the country. Wedig signed with the Los Angeles Rams before moving on to the Cardinals, and then the DC Defenders of the United Football League (UFL). He's played in 97 preseason snaps on offense in his career.

Moore (6'5", 255, 23) is an undrafted rookie out of Iowa State, who initially signed with the Giants. He started 12 of 45 career games for the Cyclones, catching 21 passes for 245 yards (11.7 avg.) and two touchdowns. He's considered more of a standout blocker than pass-catcher, seeing 589 pass and run block snaps in college, according to Pro Football Focus.

The Colts signed Towt this offseason as a college basketball player from Notre Dame with no football background. He'd been present throughout training camp and even made a handful of catches during team drills, but on Sunday, he took a hard fall out of bounds after a catch and immediately grabbed his lower left leg while in clear pain. He smacked the ground in frustration. Towt left the field for the medical area, limping but walking on his own.

Horton is an undrafted rookie out of Purdue who signed with the Colts right after the draft. He caught one pass (four targets) for six yards in the Colts' preseason opener.

Matos joined the Colts' practice squad last October and then signed a reserve/futures deal following the season. He had a rough summer, giving up numerous would-be sacks during 11-on-11 drills with the third-team and developmental team offense. He played six offensive snaps last Thursday in the Colts' preseason game.
