The Indianapolis Colts remain without one of their top role players as the week of practice begins ahead of the Washington Commanders matchup in London.
The Indianapolis Colts completed their first stateside practice of the week on Wednesday, ahead of a Thursday evening flight to London to face the Washington Commanders on Sunday morning.
The Colts remain in relatively good shape on the injury front, save for two of their top wide receivers, Alec Pierce and Ashton Dulin, who remain out of the lineup.
The Commanders have a much lengthier injury report, with a couple of players already ruled out, but are already in London acclimating, as of their departure on Tuesday.
Per the official injury report, "The Commanders conducted a walk-through on Wednesday. Wednesday's practice report is only an estimation of a player's participation if there was a practice."
Here is how both teams' health is shaping up ahead of Sunday's matchup.
COLTS
WEDNESDAY
- Did Not Participate — TE Mo Alie-Cox (illness), WR Ashton Dulin (ankle)
- Limited Participant — WR Keenan Allen (rest), LB Akeem Davis-Gaither (knee), RB Jonathan Taylor (rest), CB Charvarius Ward Sr. (rest)
- Full Participant — K Spencer Shrader (right groin)
The Colts' injury report was rather uneventful to begin the week. Dulin remains out after missing the last two weeks. Alie-Cox's status will bear monitoring if he's unable to practice on Thursday, because the team typically does not fly players overseas who they know are not playing.
Shrader played through his injury last week but will be maintained throughout this week so as to keep him as ready as possible for Sunday.
COMMANDERS
WEDNESDAY
*Walkthrough, participation is an estimation.
- Did Not Participate — G Sam Cosmi (concussion, throat), S Nick Cross (illness), RB Rachaad White (shoulder)
- Limited Participant — G Nick Allegretti (hip), S Percy Butler (concussion), QB Jayden Daniels (left elbow), DT Javon Kinlaw (shoulder), LB Frankie Luvu (groin), TE Chig Okonkwo (hamstring), DE Charles Omenihu (ankle), G Lucas Patrick (foot), CB Amik Robertson (knee), TE Ben Sinnott (rib)
OUT — G Sam Cosmi (concussion, throat), S Nick Cross (illness)
Washington has already ruled starting right guard Cosmi and starting strong safety (and former Colt) Cross early in the week, as the pair did not travel with the team.
Fellow starters Daniels, Allegretti, Okonkwo, Kinlaw, Luvu, and Robertson also missed some practice time.
It's still undecided whether Daniels or Marcus Mariota will start at quarterback. Daniels re-injured his left, non-throwing elbow in Week 2 against the Dallas Cowboys and did not play last week, while Mariota helped get the win over the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks.
The Colts and Commanders face off on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. ET on NFL Network in London at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
