Don't miss the action from the Indianapolis Colts' Week 7 road matchup against the Minnesota Vikings at US Bank Stadium.

There's usually a clear path to victory for the Indianapolis Colts, even when they aren't playing well, regardless of the opponent. However, they do not match up well with the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday.More Videos

The Indianapolis Colts (2-4) travel north to take on the Minnesota Vikings (5-0) this Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium, where the Colts are 1-2 all-time.

The Colts are reeling after two straight losses, which culminated in the firing of general manager Chris Ballard. Offensively, they keep giving opponents extra possessions by turning the ball over. The Colts' defense isn't taking the ball away enough, and their pass rush is nearly nonexistent. Special teams, normally the team's most consistent unit, is coming off a subpar performance in last week's loss.

Still, Sunday is an opportunity for the Colts to steady the ship in a matchup where they're not given much of a chance, as FanDuel Sportsbook has the Vikings listed as 6.5-point favorites.

Can the Colts pull off the upset?

The Vikings' win streak has been carried by a league-best defense that is allowing just 12.8 points per game. Their NFL-leading blitz rate has resulted in 17 sacks so far, tied for fourth-best in the league.

Minnesota's defense is top-five against the run overall, but looking at 4.0 yards per carry they're allowing, that's more middle of the pack. That may be the Colts' secret to success: running the football at a near-obnoxious rate.

If the Colts can settle for modest gains on first downs and allow the passing game to set them up with third- and fourth-and-shorts, then they may be able to stay on the field and maintain lengthy drives, even if they result in field goals.

Colts kicker Spencer Shrader is leading the NFL in field goals made (18), and more specifically, field goals of 50-plus yards (six). His range indoors at a place like U.S. Bank Stadium should be about 65 or so yards.

If the Colts are willing to make this an ugly game and settle for field goals, it may be their best course of action.
