The NFL has announced the dates for the Indianapolis Colts ' offseason program, including OTAs and mandatory minicamp.
The Indianapolis Colts have added several new faces to their roster this offseason, with the 2026 NFL Draft still to come in the next few weeks. Before you know it, the team will be ready to hit the field again to begin the offseason program.
On Friday, the NFL announced the dates for each team's offseason program, including all three phases.
The Colts will begin Phase 1 of the offseason program on April 21.
"Phase One consists of the first two weeks of the program with activities limited to meetings, strength and conditioning, and physical rehabilitation only," according to the NFL Operations website.
"Phase Two consists of the next three weeks of the program. On-field workouts may include individual or group instruction and drills, as well as 'perfect play drills,' and drills and plays with offensive players lining up across from offensive players and defensive players lining up across from defensive players, conducted at a walk-through pace. No live contact or team offense vs. team defense drills are permitted."
The offseason program then ramps up with OTAs during Phase 3. The Colts will hold theirs on May 26-27, May 29, June 1-2, and June 4.
"Phase Three consists of the next four weeks of the program. Teams may conduct a total of 10 days of organized team practice activity," per the NFL Ops website. "No live contact is permitted, but 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills are permitted."
The Colts will then conduct their mandatory three-day minicamp from June 9-11, which is part of Phase Three, before breaking for the offseason.
Training camp will be held for the final time at Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield, IN, in late July. Dates for training camp have not yet been released.
The Colts may also hold a rookie minicamp during one of the two weekends following the NFL Draft (May 1-3 or May 8-10), which will be held from April 23-25.
"Each club may hold a rookie football development program for a period of seven weeks," according to the NFL Ops website. "During this period, no activities may be held on weekends, except for one post-Draft rookie minicamp, which may be conducted on either the first or second weekend following the draft."
There will be a different feel to the Colts' offseason program this spring. Quarterback Daniel Jones is rehabbing an Achilles injury, so second-year pro Riley Leonard is expected to get the first-team reps in Jones' absence.
Veterans Michael Pittman Jr., Zaire Franklin, and Kwity Paye are no longer with the team after each joined new clubs this offseason. The Colts also added several new players, including defensive linemen Arden Key and Colby Wooden, linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither, and safety Juanyeh Thomas.
