ColtsRoundtable gathered intel on this weekend's matchup from a Jacksonville Jaguars expert.

How will the Week 8 matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars go?More Videos

The Indianapolis Colts (2-5) get a welcome distraction from their internal chaos this Sunday as they hit the road to visit the Jacksonville Jaguars (4-2).

Despite an opportunity every year, the Colts haven't beaten the Jaguars on the road since 2014; their last 11 tries. They've come close to snapping the streak a few times over the years, but it's been largely one-sided. Regardless of location, the Colts have beaten the Jaguars only once in their last six meetings, and twice in the last nine.

This week, ColtsRoundtable and Scott Salomon of JaguarsRoundtable swapped questions to learn more about each side entering Sunday's matchup.

Here are the questions CR had about the Jaguars:

Jake Arthur: It feels like we're finally seeing the Travis Hunter experience come to life. Is he settling into a firm role?

Scott Salomon: I’d say Hunter is developing into one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL and is getting better each week. On offense, it’s still developing. He finally made an impact on offense in Week 6 with a 4-59-1 line, but still only played nine snaps at receiver. So obviously there is plenty of room to grow there.

JA: If the Colts are going to survive on Sunday, they'll have to do something on the ground with Jonathan Taylor. How legit is Jacksonville's run defense?

SS: The Jaguars' run defense is terrific. They only give up 72.2 yards per game. Taylor is great, but he might be in for a long day, especially after Quenton Nelson was traded. Jacksonville has gone 23 straight games without allowing a 75-yard rusher. The Last one to do it was Taylor.

JA: When you see national coverage of the Jaguars, what's the most common misconception you see?

SS: Common misconceptions coming into the season were that Trevor Lawrence was just on a hot streak over the second half of last season and would regress. He’s proven to be a legit MVP candidate (this season).

JA: Who's a player or two who are highly important to what the Jags want to do, but fly under the radar?

SS: Now you hear a lot of talk about Jacksonville’s offense, but the defense really deserves more attention. Linebacker Foye Oluokun doesn’t get nearly the attention he deserves, but is really the engine for the defense. He tackles. He covers. He creates turnovers. He should be a Pro Bowler this season and a household name.

JA: When you compare the Colts and Jaguars, is there any area where you give the Colts an advantage?

SS: Even though Jacksonville has a great run defense, Taylor will always be an advantage for the Colts. He can have a huge game against anyone and take any run all the way. As long as the Colts have Taylor, they always have a chance.
