On the latest episode of the Locked On Colts podcast, on the Locked On Podcast network, hosts Jake Arthur and Zach Hicks take Indianapolis Colts fans' questions, which centered heavily on the current state of the Colts, NFL free agency, and the 2026 NFL Draft.
One fan asked whether the Colts should be expected to "make a splash" this offseason and if so, what that might look like.
The Colts broke the bank last year, giving high-priced contracts to Daniel Jones, Charvarius Ward Sr., and Cam Bynum, and then following it up by trading for Sauce Gardner at the trade deadline. While this offseason will almost certainly not be as impactful, the Colts should still be fairly active, including re-signing Jones and Alec Pierce.
Jake and Zach were also asked about cheap free-agent running back options to pair with Jonathan Taylor. Brian Robinson, formerly of the Washington Commanders and San Francisco 49ers, as well as the Atlanta Falcons' Tyler Allgeier, could give the Colts the type of tough, between-the-tackles yards they want. Kenneth Gainwell of the Pittsburgh Steelers is another intriguing option who excels as a pass-catcher and has played for Colts head coach Shane Steichen.

Mandatory Credit: Robert Goddin-Imagn ImagesA fan asked whether Colts veteran receiver Laquon Treadwell could be a sleeper candidate to help replace Michael Pittman Jr. in the event the Colts part with him. While Treadwell is unlikely to crack the lineup consistently as a receiver, he did break out as a special-teamer last year for the Colts in his 10th season.
A question was asked about the pros and cons of the Colts keeping quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr. While Richardson certainly still has talent, it is simply too difficult to imagine the relationship continuing on either side. Especially considering the Colts intend to commit to Jones as their starting quarterback with a multi-year contract this offseason.
One fan was intrigued by Ohio State defensive end Caden Curry in this year's draft and whether he could be an option for the Colts. While Curry was productive last year in Columbus, with 11.0 sacks, he likely isn't much more than a Day 3 option for Indy. Players such as Zion Young or Derrick Moore offer a suped-up version of Curry's skill set, with Day 2 value.
A question was asked about whether the Colts would/should prioritize linebacker or defensive backs first in the draft. While the Colts likely value good defensive backs over good linebackers in defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo's system, the value of linebacker should be better in the second round. It's a loaded group of linebackers, and the Colts need to remake their group badly.
The show closed out with a spirited discussion about Penn State quarterback Drew Allar and whether he'd be worth the Colts' time in the draft, at any point.
