The Washington Commanders are among the host of teams expected to meet with a wide receiver target expected to come off the board on day two of the 2026 NFL Draft.

The Washington Commanders are getting a closer look at another wide receiver prospect in the mix to hear his name called on day two of the 2026 NFL Draft.

The Commanders are among the teams expected to visit with former Tennessee wide receiver Chris Brazzell II, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Media. Washington joins Green Bay and San Francisco as teams expected to see him this week after spending time with the Carolina Panthers, Indianapolis Colts and Arizona Cardinals last week.

Brazzell II, ranked the eighth best wide receiver prospect by ESPN, exploded for a monster senior season with the Vols in 2025.

After combining for 722 receiving yards and five touchdowns on 45 catches through his first two seasons at Tulane, Brazzell entered the transfer portal following the 2023 season where he spent his final two years in Knoxville.

Brazzell emerged as a contributor for the Vols in 2024, finishing with 29 catches for 333 yards and a pair of touchdowns, but it was his senior year that elevated his profile and cemented him as a draft prospect.

A Biletnikoff Award semifinalist, Brazzell led the SEC in 2025 after averaging 84.8 yards per game while totaling nine touchdowns. In fact, his nine touchdowns in 2025 surpassed the seven scores through the first three years of his college career.

Brazzell also finished with 1,017 receiving yards on 62 catches, becoming the only SEC wide receiver and one of 22 across FBS to eclipse the 1,000  mark in 2025, deserving of his All-SEC selection in addition to the AP naming him a third team All American.

The latest top-30 visit gives the Commanders a chance to continue evaluating the wide receiver market as general manager Adam Peters scours the market to see who can be one of the final pieces in the room.

The unit has already been addressed this offseason to restock depth after re-signing Treylon Burks along with inking Dyami Brown and Van Jefferson to round out the rotation. Yet the wide receiver two void has remained despite a few swing and misses in free agency, including Alec Pierce and Romeo Doubs, to keep the positional need a focus heading into the NFL Draft, set to begin next Thursday.

The question will be whether he ultimately is available when it comes time to make the second pick. ESPN projects Brazzell to come off the board to the Pittsburgh Steelers with the 53rd pick of the draft, much earlier than the Commanders' 71st overall pick in the early third round.
