Defensive tackle Ricky Barber is among 11 players signed by the Washington Commanders on day one of the offseason.

The Washington Commanders signed 13 players to reserve/future deals through the first two days of the offseason:

G Tyler Cooper

Rookie guard out of Minnesota who has yet to appear in the NFL.

WR Nick Nash

Nash made a name for himself as the NCAA receiving TD leader and ending his college career as a unanimous All-American. After signing with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent, he was waived ahead of the 2025 season and placed on the practice squad before the Commanders made a move following the new year.

G Sala Aumavae-Laulu

Former sixth round pick by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2023 NFL Draft. Released midway through his second season before re-signing to the practice squad. Briefly signed a reserves/futures contract with the Seattle Seahawks in early 2025 before signing to the Commanders practice squad on New Years Day ahead of the 2025 regular season finale. Played in two games as a guard with Baltimore in 2024.

DT Ricky Barber

After playing at Western Kentucky then UCF, Barber joined the organization as an undrafted free agent following the 2025 NFL Draft before being waived as part of the final round of roster cuts, re-joining the organization one day later on the practice squad. Barber was elevated to the 53-man roster for the Christmas Day game vs. Dallas for his NFL debut, finishing with five tackles and one sack.

WR Ja'Corey Brooks

The Alabama and Louisville product signed with the Commanders as an undrafted free agent following the 2025 NFL Draft and was elevated for the week six loss against the Chicago Bears where he did not register a stat.

CB Tre Hawkins

Former sixth round pick by the New York Giants in 2023, Hawkins appeared in all 17 games as a rookie when he finished with 35 tackles and one interception before suffering a season-ending injury against the Saints later in the game. After being waived by the Giants as part of the final round of roster cuts ahead of the 2025 season, Hawkins joined the Commanders' practice squad.

DE D.J. Johnson

A former third round pick by the Carolina Panthers in 2023, Johnson appeared in 14 games in 2025 and finished with 1 pass deflection, one fumble recovery, 0.5 sacks and 44 total tackles in two starts and 14 games for the Panthers in 2024 before being waived at the start of the 2025 season. Johnson signed with the Commanders practice squad on New Years Eve.

WR Jacoby Jones

Jones signed with the Commanders as an undrafted free agent following the 2025 NFL Draft. He was elevated to the active roster on Nov. 11 before making his NFL debut days later when he logged one catch, a 25-yard reception in the week 11 loss vs. Miami in Madrid.

DE TJ Maguranyanga

The Zimbabwean addition signed with the Commanders after joining the NFL's International Player Pathway program in December 2024. Maguranyanga was waived ahead of the 2025 season and placed on practice squad.

S Rob McDaniel

One of the top HBCU. prospects in the country, McDaniel served on the Commanders' practice squad in 2025.

T Tim McKay

After going undrafted out of NC State in the 2025 NFL Draft, McKay signed to the practice squad after being waived in the days ahead of the 2025 season.

CB Darius Rush

A former fifth round pick by the Indianapolis Colts in 2023, Rush has had sinus with he Chiefs, Steelers and Browns before landing on the Commanders' practice squad ahead of the 2025 season. He was elevated to the active roster for the week 15 win vs. New York Giants.

CB Car'lin Vigers

After signing as an undrafted free agent following the 2025 NFL Draft, Vigers was waived and placed on the practice squad ahead of the 2025 season.
