On the latest episode of the DC Roundtable Podcast covering the Washington Commanders, we dive into the week five tie against the New York Giants, criticism for Dan Quinn and more

On the next episode of the DC Roundtable Podcast hosted by Tyler Lochte and Ahmed Ghafir diving into the Washington Commanders, we dive into the overtime blunder that led to a tie at 27 against the New York Giants in week five.

Washington had every reason to be optimistic to start with quarterback Jayden Daniels among the players who dazzled early on before building an eventual 14 point lead with roughly 11 minutes left in the fourth quarter. Yet the Commanders gave up touchdowns on the final three touchdowns in regulation that set up the tie, a deflating reality for a defense that was dominant through the first half. What should we make of first year defensive coordinator Daronte Jones, who has now watched every team score at least 24 points.

It was not all bad as quarterback Jayden Daniels stuck out in his first game back since exiting with an injury in week two, while tight end Chig Okonkwo stuck out through the first half, while the defense held the Giants to under 100 yards of offense and a turnover by halftime.

Yet of course, the headline from the game came from how it unfolded. With 55 seconds left, the Commanders had every opportunity to secure an overtime win before an all-time blunder led to the clock striking all zeros with the offense still scrambling on the field. Both quarterback Jayden Daniels and head coach Dan Quinn took accountability for the blunder following the loss with Quinn reiterating the clock management issues "can't happen." Yet how does it happen? Who deserves the blame? How does Washington move forward after a deflating loss?
