Prescott rewrites Cowboys history with clutch comeback, leading a record-breaking performance in a dramatic win over division rival Eagles.

The Dallas Cowboys needed a win over the Philadelphia Eagles to keep riding their momentum, and they did so in dramatic fashion with a 24-21 crucial divisional victory. Quarterback Dak Prescott led an incredible comeback from a 21-point deficit – the largest in Cowboys’ history. And after missing his second field goal of the year, kicker Brandon Aubrey nailed the 42-yard game winner. The end was electric, but the game was anything but pretty for Dallas.

In their first home game at AT&T stadium since the devastating death of Marshawn Kneeland, the Cowboys defense answered the call. Since trading for Quinnen Williams, the run defense has allowed 90 rushing yards in the last two games. The Eagles only amassed 63 yards on the ground on Sunday. 5-5-1 Dallas is on the playoff bubble, looking in from the outside at No. 10, but Sunday’s win kept those dreams alive.

Here is the full story from Cowboys Roundtable writer Nathan Karseno on the thrilling Week 12 victory.

Philadelphia still leads the NFC East at 8-3, but they’ve shown cracks in the foundation, and the Cowboys took advantage of that. After a 21-0 start by the Eagles, a Dallas defense that has struggled all season came out of halftime tough, forcing three straight punts.

After a sluggish and mistake-filled start by the offense, including an interception by Prescott, he led a clutch comeback. The George Pickens trade continues to age well, as his huge late catch led to Prescott’s second rushing touchdown of the season.

In the air, Prescott also made franchise history. With 34,378 passing yards, he now holds the career record for passing yards in Dallas Cowboys history. Fitting for it to come against a divisional rival.
