Cowboys teammates surrounded David Durden in support to console the undrafted rookie before he was moved inside to the locker room and given medical attention.

FRISCO - The Dallas Cowboys have recently dealt with a flurry of signigicant knee injuries and now comes concern after Wednesday's practice here inside The Star that another medical issue has arisen.

Teammates surrounded Durden in support to console the undrafted rookie before he was moved inside to the locker room and given medical attention. … and now the Dallas News reports that an MRI shows the injury is season-ending.

A video posted of the play indicates that Durden simply tripped awkwardly while working in a one-on-one drill against star cornerback Trevon Diggs.

It's has been an uphill battle for the 6-1 Durden to make an impression as the Cowboys build what looks like a loaded 53-man roster, as they 24-year-old, in addition to this latest setback, sustained a concussion earlier this month.

The Cowboys receiver room is keyed by CeeDee Lamb, Brandin Cooks and Michael Gallup. Jalen Tolbert has claimed the fourth spot, and Durden was in a group well behind KaVontae Turpin, Jalen Brooks and Simi Fehoko for a roster spot.

Durden played for two years at Mercer before making his transfer to West Florida for three seasons. He scored 13 touchdowns as a senior while also making a big impression as a punt returner.
